This activity focuses on having the students learn about their feelings, strong and soft ones, and how they can help regulate them. With the toolbox they are creating, they are writing down what help calm their minds down.

Inquiry: What traditions do you have for celebrations?
Students first learned about Nowruz. What it is, what they do, and the traditions they have when celebrating it. Students were then to think of their own family celebrations and write a reflection on what they do to celebrate them.

Activity | 03 Procedural Writing​

Inquiry: What is Procedural writing
In this lesson, students learned from slides about what procedural writing is, what it consists of, and transition words. Students worked oduring which they brainstormed what they wanted to make a procedural writing piece about, did a rough draft, engaged in peer editing, and produced an this for a few classes, where they brainstormed what they wanted to make a procedural writing piece for, did a rough draft, peer editing and final copy.

Inquiry: What can we measure?
Starting a new math unit with the grade 3s, students learned about what benchmarks were, different ways to measure, and they went around the classroom measuring different things.
