This article highlights three well-known models of early childhood education; Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia. It talks about the purpose of each model of education and the similarities and differences between them.
I chose to use this article as it highlights important parts of Reggio Emilia's approach to education which I value because as a future educator, I would want to make sure it is child-centred and follow the rights to the child.

This article focuses on the importance of Indigenous culture, teachings and knowledge to help one gain more knowledge on a different way of learning. It talks about the importance of two-eyed seeing, a type of Indigenous teaching. As well as the importance of why children should learn more about the environment.
I chose to use this article as it showcases the importance of learning Indigenous cultures as well as using it as a source to back up points in my philosophy.

This document helps highlight the importance of the ethical codes an educator is supposed to follow in an Early Childcare environment, it goes over the importance of respecting one's culture to respecting their privacy and understanding what can be said and done and what can not be.
This document was used in making lesson plans a it helps us outline what related to the ethical code and our plan to ensure we are staying professional and respectful towards the children and families.

This document is important as it is a universal declaration document with the world on the rights of the child. It possesses 54 rights, often referred to each one as an "article". These rights that a child has are from birth to the age of eighteen years old.
This document is important because it states all the right each and single every child possess and it is important that they are informed about all the rights they have.
